Medians in the Big City...They Just Keep on Giving!

I detected two median strips today in the city and dug out two silver coins! The first one was 7 inches deep. It was a good faint signal that locked on the meter. Checked the date on the dime when I got home and was surprised with a 1948-S dime with the mint luster still intact! Before I dug the dime I dug out 11 wheat pennies that were between 1 inch (gopher mound) and 6 inches.

The second median had just one good coin ..it was a 1962 quarter that was about 6 inches deep. The city median strips have been real good to me over the years. If you have any of these in your home town you got to check them out!

Great finds there. I never think to detect medians in my neck of the woods. I might just have to give that a try. Well done.
