Mephitis problem

I began this hobby in January, and have already had one box that yielded 43 keepers (4-90% and 39-40%) and another box that gave up 19 (3-90% and 16-40%). Haven't had more than 5 consecutive skunk boxes... until now. Seems its time for the law of averages to take over, as I'm now on my 20th consecutive box completely uncontaminated with silver. Oh joy!

I started ordering boxes in Dec. and am in the same predicament right now. I lost a dump bank because of my volume I was doing, and am taking a short hiatus. I had a wonderful first 2 weeks of Feb. then ran into a 20+ skunk box streak, and still have about 18 boxes left to search from my last orders. I'm not too excited to finish them, but hope by going through all those skunks that I didn't pave the way for someone else to hit it big.

I've went on 40+ box streaks before. Approximately 35 of those boxes came from the same bank that netted me a box with 302 40% and 1 90% about 6 months prior to the streak. You never know when you are in the middle of some mega searchers dump.

Owassokie-- I'd be more than happy to pay the price of 40 consecutive skunks after getting one with 300+ keepers!

I've got you all beat. ONE good box since 2008, 27 keepers. Nothing since then with more than 5, on average, 1 40% per 2 boxes.
If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.
