Hey everyone,

Steve from Pa was nice enough to invite me to a few of his locations. Nice early history and a great day to be out. We started out slow with a button each. We moved to another site. It was slow at first but I got licky and found a section of this field and started pulling buttons. One after another.

Steve pulled a really nice button also. Early millitary button. I got home and thought I had just all plain flat buttons. But a keeper showed after rincing. Looks like a war of 1812 rifleman button. Nice button to add to the collection. I have some others similar to this one. Also in the pic is a toasted semi key date 1869 indianhead.

Once again I'd like to thank steve for the hunt. I owe you one man.

Jeremy

Whoa! Did you ever, Jer! :o Looks like a great hunt!

Nana :hello:

Jeremy, my indian head penny was also an 1869. Too bad they're not in better shape. Congrats on the Rifleman's button. It is RF 10 in Albert's book. That makes three different early miltary buttons from this site in the last two trips there.

The flower button you found at the first site is also really sweet.

I have never really hit an area that has been prolific with buttons ! Two maybe 3 buttons on an outing at most ! :icon_scratch: Love the riflemans button :hello2: Nice finds Jeremy ! MaineRelic
