2 main things I can suggest...
Practice / master your plugs ... And don't rub coins... Even if it is a token.

Carry a small spray or a bottle of water to remove the dirt.

I know it, grew up in Princeton and a little burg nearby called Francisco. I have been planning on a run over that way for a while for some hunting. Keeps getting delayed, lol.
