Metal Items of Interest

[Tigershores]

I wanted to post these items to see if anyone has any comments. Has anyone seen anything like these before or have an apporximate date? They were found by metal detector in 1983 on the beach in Florida (East Coast). Any ideas would be helpful in figuring these things out. Thanks

I don't have the items here with me, but I do know the diameter of the large ring on the right is 12 inches. That does not include the handle piece, just inner diameter.

Maybe old mast collars? The higher on the mast, the smaller the diameter. I'm not sure about the sliding bracket.

First of all, Tiger, let me make it clear that I'm only guessing. I'm no expert at this. But the rings/collars wouldn't be on a large vessel since it measures at a 12 inch diameter. That's a pretty small wooden mast. The ring with the bracket could be a gaff assembly (doubtful) or just a rung on the mast...or even a grip to carry a mast or pole. Hopefully someone with more expertise will be able to id the items for you. Thanks for sharing. I would venture to guess a sailing vessel from mid-late 1800s to early 1900s.
