Metal Plate of some sort. Has big K Stamped on it. Please Help!!!

Found this in the back yard of an early 1900s house. I have no idea what to think of it. Maybe some kind of help piece. Any info would be great.

It is 2 1/2 by 4 cm. It is brass and I don't think it was broken of something.
