WW2 metal?

Hi could anyone out there tell what this is pls. Some are guessing its from WW2. A member of this site posted this photo but could never figure out what it is or atleast for. its odd figure.

From that pic, all I can say is that it appears to be a White Hole, the opposite of a Black Hole!
