It has slag like pieces glued into it, even red? Did you create this?

No no i didn't, someone that collected rocks gave me it and told me it was a meteorite. Why would I have create a rock just to ask if it was really a meteorite? That would be time consuming and kinda stupid I think.

For sure it's not a meteorite. You won't see metallic(?) crystal structures like this in anything meteoritic:

You say it's heavy. Is it magnetic? From the general appearance and the areas of iridescence I would think it might be a terrestrial rock with a proportion of 'rainbow' hematite (specularite) in it, or it's a man-made piece of industrial carbide or mixed carbides from a smelting operation.

Didn't the person who gave it to you provide any information about how it was found or obtained, or who said it was a meteorite (apart from themselves)?

PS: Welcome to Tnet

Magnets sticks to it, and it's really the collector itself but his daughter, so I didn't really get any other info about it...
thank you!

Out of interest, how heavy is it? If you wrap it tightly in cling film, does it float or sink in water? (or better still if you can weigh it, then use a measuring cylinder to find the volume, you can work out the density)
