Mexico trips finds pics

hunted first 5 days with Whydah - then he went home and had to hunt alone
second resort I stayed at - other hunters had stayed near by in Aug. - so finds around there were not plentiful but did get some gold
ended going back to a few spots I had taken Whydah to and got more finds there too
Found and returned ring Fri. night 7th - got Tiffany pendant out deep and some silver earings
found 750 wedding band on Sat. 8th in morning and a few silver rings and Tiffany bracelet at night
went to a sister resort for free - thought I would do good there - got 1 penny and 2 pairs of glasses after 2 hrs of hunting
just hung out there and ate for free and took in the sights
found 14k necklace on Mon.the 10th
found 14k bracelet on Tues. 11th
just a lot of coins on Wed.
got a ton of coins - pic is deceiving - pile is bigger than in pic (will probably do a contest down the road)
not shown are 5 pairs of damaged sunglasses (dont always get them in the scoop right)
and 2 dive weights (they confiscated a huge one from me at the airport - probably worth min.of $25) and ring returned (see other post)
Better than some trips - worse than others
first 5 days = 6 gold rings - 2 gold earings
upper left = 3 aluminum rings - 2 tungsten carbides - 1 stainless
upper right = silver jewelry


second 5 days = 1 gold ring - 1 gold necklace w/pendants - 1 gold bracelet
ring at top is stainless spinner
middle is silver jewelry


Tiffany silver - pendant found out deep - bracelet found in shallows

That had to be some kind of fun...that is a huge pile of coins...do all the coins give a high tone? Congrats on all that gold and silver...outstanding.

you did some seroius hunting and did well on the Gold & Silver... Nice job you earned it....

brought finds back in my carry on - they did stop me thru security on way out
got women at the xray - they didnt know what they had - called over about 8 guys
they confiscated a dive weight i had - said it could be used as a weapon - the bag of coins could have
been used as a weapon too = they saw all the finds but kept asking each other in spanish - "where's the gold?"
I knew what they were saying and acted dumb - my gal had gold and silver in her pocket book and they passed her thru
not my job to tell them anything - you just have to make sure you dont have any screw drivers or knives or sharp objects
I actually had a huge jig lure with a big hook and I thought they would throw a fit about that - but they could not see it thru all the other stuff
never have had a major prob with machines
I was in the Riviera Maya area
there are beaches in eco areas and archeo areas that you might have a prob if you tried using one

the first 5 days - 99% of the coins were pesos for me
2nd 5 days maybe 70% pesos
I found US, Canadian, Russian, German and a few other countries

JUST COUNTED THE COINS UP - I found about $135 dollars US in pesos
I found some Canadian - some US - some Russian coins
some older pesos that are no longer legal tender
and a few other countries coins
