Working a small park today I dug down 4 inches and pulled out probably the creepiest silver ring I've seen. It's sterling silver with nothing but
skulls around it! Also dug a 62 Rosie and 2 wheat pennies in the same area. Adjacent to the grass was a sand box with about $4.00 in gas money, I hit the sand box first
hoping for a piece of jewelry. I was busy with sifting with my sand scoop about 75 coins in the sand, unfortunately no jewelry came out. So it was a good day, nothing spectacular, but any silver is a good day.8-)

A lot of clad and some silver. Looks like a great hunt to me. You must be tired from all the digging.

CHF,

Good going on the silvers.....that skull ring is probably from Mexico a buddy of mine has one from there....his wife bought it for him and he jokes that it represents all his past editors since he's a political columnist for a local paper for something like 50 years.

Regards + HH

Bill

My heart skipped a beat when I saw that skull ring you found. The creepy feeling you had toward it is very appropriate. It is very highly reminiscent of a type of Nazi Totenkopf ring worn by Hitler's SS, Waffen-SS, and Gestapo. I don't think your ring is a Nazi artifact but it is very similar looking to one that I've seen before.
Note the ring in the lower right corner:
