This thing was twisted like a pretzel when found but my hunting buddy did a stellar job with it. Question is what would it been attached to and how? As well as a time frame if possible? Thx

I do know that much about it but was hoping to find out the rest like what it went to(uniform?) or something like that as well as a time frame for it. Thx for the info on it tho

Found where one like OPs was found in Ohio, on another metal detecting site, which is weird as Ohio and Indiana are next door to each other.

I highly doubt the size referenced on the other site is correct. To see what I mean take the quarter and place it on yours, then imagine how small all the items around the quarter would have to be to fit that space.
