I have been offered a Minelab Muskateer Advantage for £200 (British pounds) in excellent condition, to add to my collection.
I have read good things about these detectors, and know they have a cult following.
I am aware that users do like the Minelab Sovereigns for their multi frequency, and that the Minelab Muskateer Advantage is a single 5 kHz machine.
Questions ....
Are they as good as they are hyped up to be?
Would I be nuts to buy such an old machine?

Thanks

All i can tell you it is still a great detector .But i do not think you can get it repaired if something goes wrong with it ..... I found my first large cent with a Musketeer Advantage. And they are still a good detector to use i still use mine.

If you collect old detectors and need another wall hanger, go for it. There are much better detectors out there to actually use.
