Weird that metal detecting seems to attract people missing fingers. I almost lost one but they pieced it back together for me.

I still have all of my finger's BUT some of them don't work very good any more ! Looks like I may have to watch out for sharp objects from now on !

Yes, indeedy. The Coca-Cola Company is one that aggressively protects its trademarks and brands. In the UK (and presumably elsewhere) they send out under-cover representatives (sometimes referred to as ‘mystery shoppers’) to bars and restaurants to explicitly order a “Coke”. If the establishment provides a generic unbranded alternative cola, or a competitive product such as Pepsi without telling the customer, they send a letter threatening prosecution for infringement. They also inform the Trading Standards Office if the chain or establishment habitually practices misrepresentation.

I'm in that group as well. Ever since I stuck my little 3 year old fingers in a very sharp old reel type mower. I don't hesitate to use a skill saw, but I avoided those mowers ever since. I think it might have been due to heredity, my grandfather lost 5 in a punch press.
And I agree, that is a minor complaint.

Speaking of mowers my friend and I were taking turns throwing stuff in a push mower we turned it upside down where the sharp blades would be exposed better well my turn i through a feather into the blades only to feel a sharp tug on my index finger when I looked at it it was gone up to the first Knuckle 😯 long story short my mom found the finger and they stitched it back on. I had to learn things the hard way growing up lol.

Great save. Had a few come in like that when I worked the ER. Seldom that lucky. My middle finger has the scars, top and bottom, at the same level as the missing one. Luuucky.
