Some stones the agate mostly from China the jasper central California I believe the smaller pebbles from China but I’m not sure what they are, the rock that looks like a sun rise (or moon rise) over the mountains on a lake I think is agate from somewhere in China? I didn’t collect any of these they were all given to us from friends.

If taken in 1933? Were the laws the same then?
Yes, the act was established in 1908, however taken for monetary gain is an element within the act.

What are illegal antiquities?

illicit antiquities, archaeological objects that have been illegally excavated or exported from their country of origin for monetary gain. Most countries place sovereign claims on their archaeological heritage.

Sorry, but this looks synthetic to me.
on two of the carvers first visit to the USA I made these two ceramic vases thrown on the wheel and asked them to carve on and sign them while the clay was still soft one each, at this stage the are still un fired but dry.

This is an old thread that I somehow missed. Desertau hasn’t been here since ā€˜24. He sure has some nice rocks. #3 is dendritic steatite from MT. I’ve carved it before.
