Today's adventure/foray into the front yard...

Item #1: I'm gonna go with lawn mower part, probably either oil pan plug or blade bolt. :dontknow: I got the larger washer loose enough to rotate; lock washer is frozen/rusted solid. 1980s.
Item #2: Lug nut. Whooptie-do! Not from any of our vehicles.
Item #3: Roosevelt dime--196....5 😞 🤦🏼‍♂️ 😤 TID: 92 Thought it was a penny at first; then I saw the torch & branches. Green patina, so I knew pretty quick it wasn't silver.

Reverse didn't come out in focus. If anyone really cares, I'll shoot it again, but nothing noteworthy.

OK, Missus got home early, and the weather was still great, so we ran down to our permission for an hour or two until I got tired...

Item #1: Partial toy wheel--canon?
Item #2: Lapel pin--110th anniversary of APOPKA, FL 1882-1992. "Union Made" on back.
Item #3: Some kind of non-ferrous stud or finial? Bottom of tube appears broken off. Top looks like the top of a chess piece.

Thank you! 🙂

Missus & I were so encouraged by the other day's finds that we went back again today. In the five hours we were there, I detected an area approx. 10' x 50', and dug 30 targets. As expected, most were junk.

Item #1: (back row) Headless RR spike; no idea where the head is/went. Junk to me; Missus insisted (she collects RR steel).
Item #2: Wire hanger of some type; bird/small animal?

Item #3: (2nd row) vehicle mirror ball joint--badly deteriorated. Age?
Item #4: pull tab. (I've not learned to id these yet, nor if I want to! 😳)
Item #5: Bottle cap I don't recognize.
Item #6:
Piece of hardware I DO recognize; an old rusty one of these:

Item #7: (3rd row) oven timer cover (best guess--no further id)
Item #8: Unidentifiable lump of iron.
Item #9: Zincoln penny so badly corroded the obverse is completely obliterated.
Item #10: Pièce de résistance: 1940 (P) Mercury dime (my first silver :hello2:). This also brings my total from this permission to $0.13! 🤑
maybe not the GREATEST of finds.....
....but good enough to keep our interest & enthusiasm for this permission and the hobby. 😁

It also puts a whole different twist on the expression/phrase, "Target-Rich Environment" 😂
