As I was posting the 1838 Large Cent last night my neighbor called to tell me she lost her ring at the swim club, just as the rain started.
Well I got there at 7 this morning and it took about an hour, but I got the job done. This is the second ring I have recovered at this swim club.
What is interesting is that every sweep of the coil had good hits. I did not have the time to dig any because of time constraints. The club was started in 1957, so there must be thousands of buried coins, and a lot of jewelry as well.
I had an idea for a fund raiser for the club which I will present today. After the club closes in September I will detect, and people can match whatever I find. I will donate the money for a good cause...
