Mississippi tax token

[rickyinms]

went to check out an old house place down the road to see if it was worth md'ing and found this tax token. first one i had seen in a long time. almost found some silver too. a 65 rosie. other than that a couple of pennies, pull tabs and copper wire from the house that had burned was all i found. the token was well worth the 1hr spend there though.

Great find, keep em coming!

Nice depression era token. I have found a few Missouri tax tokens, but my soil really does a number on anything made of aluminum. They come out of the ground looking like they been in a fire

[rickyinms]

i know what you mean. aluminum survives quite well here but we have some red clay that will eat up new pennies. probably like your soil does aluminum.

Way to go. Nice token. I found one in a bit worse shape in Columbus, MS back in 1989. Keep the finds coming.

Nice token. I've been finding 65's and 66's a lot lately...almost, but not quite.
