mistakenly refunded money

so I was wondering what should I do if I was mistakenly refunded money after they shipped me the item I bought? here's the details I got a second chance offer on an item that I bid on, I took it and paid for it, the next day it was marked shipped with no tracking number then later that day I was refunded my money, I emailed to seller he told me he meant to refund the original buyer and accidentally did mine instead and now can't figure out how to charge me again, I kinda feel like I may be getting scammed some how, has anyone else had this problem and what steps should I be taking if any?

I haven't received it yet it will probly be a week before I get it, sellers feed back is 99.8 out of around 1500 transactions

I'm new to ebay so I'm still figuring out all of the ins and outs, it almost seems like he has given up, I think I'm going to wait till I get my stuff and then i will try to use paypal and pay him since I have his info

Sometimes honest mistakes happen. Paypal just revamped our account pages. They got a whole new look now , so I can kinda see where he may could have made a mistake there. 99.8 outta 1500, that's a good seller, imho.

I would think you could trust that he sent it, did he provide you with a tracking number? I would probably tend to trust they sent it(if given tracking#) and just send them the money for it. If he don't have a problem waiting until you get it, but as a seller, one has to wonder, once someone receives something, they could just not pay for it. What can he do, if you didn't pay him? Even if you did pay him for it now and never received it, it's still covered under Paypal that you could get your money back.

it's only marked shipped no tracking number, so wen I get it I'll pay him, he sells a lot of stuff I like and would like to buy more from him, but I want to see how this turns out
