i like the skull with its tonge out,the next to the last pic looks like it could be something also maybe a paintpot that they would of taking advantage of its natural shape, check it out inside with a microscope see if there is any pigment left or a high powered loop 30x maybe.but some could be nutting stones as others call them.

well, I won't say it's not so, but nothing screams or even whispers artifact to me on any of those.

i think that same piece jamey is talking about could be what he says....a natural formation that has a possibility of being used as a paint pot

i agree...excepting the one possibility
but i don't think any of these others were worked by man

I meant to put a question mark this rock is not natural those are hammer percussion marks all over it

This piec has holes on both sides this is a pieces of mined chert with cortex still on both sides

The perfectly round one is a geode.

I could build a huge and complete lithic "tool kit" with the natural stones I find on the beach, complete with "tool marks", "flaking", "grinding", "hammer percussion marks" etc. On all kinds of stones too, jasper, basalt, agate, granites, etc. But I will say that if I found a stone with natural bowl shapes I woulda picked it up and used it too....why spend all that time grinding out a basin when the work is already done for you.

i agree mr Mac ;)

They all look natural

Here's both sides of one from your state for comparison.
A hard sandstone is used.

So mr gator I was once told that those round rocks were formed by prehistoric type of a mud or dung beetle is this correct ?

Looks the same except the material gator idk boss I'll keep them in the old rock garden

I have a hard time understanding that they would have their hands on a stone during mining and just toss it and go spend 4 hours pecking on a sandstone to make a bowl these pieces were mined and therefore touched with there hands . This is a metate made from the cortex of a flint nodule

Sorry, but I don't see cortex of a flint nodule on that piece. I see that it looks like a great candidate for use, and I wouldn't be surprised it was used.

NOW, that half a round one, THAT looks like 1/2 of a flint nodule, at least the nodules I have and have seen.
