I know this post is 3 years old but I was curious if you still detect in the Montoe area.

I come to Monroe all the time.... I will be there this weekend.... Prob will be hunting Forsythe park with a guy from Ruston....

Hey, I just started detecting recently...live in West Monroe.
Found a nickel and two pennies at Kiroli Park, and a quarter and penny at Forsythe Park...
Got a lot more hits at Forsythe, but most were bottle caps/can tabs or just too deep for me to dig.
I don't usually have weekends off, but I try to get out on the days I DO have off...usually a couple of days during the week. I think I'm off this coming Wednesday and Thursday..I'll hav to check.
