Hello Everyone

I am inquiring as to the value and possibly dating of a blackfoot knife from Montana with original leather sheaf. The blade is marked on handle and is, I believe to be made out of lead, copper and steel. The blade length is 14.7cm, the handle is 11cm and the width of the blade is 4cm. It weighs 573grams. There was a tag attached, photo attached. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as the pricing, etc, seems to be all over the place and I would like to sell this for a fair but reasonable price. Thanks to everyone. Much appreciated, keep up the great work on this fantastic forum!

Bob

A couple questions I'd ask.
Why a guard? And why such a thin one?

Sheath. Why two slits cut to put a belt through? Is that a Blackfoot style? Is the rest of the sheath a Blackfoot style?

I'm not saying it's not Blackfoot related.
I might be disappointed if going to look at a Blackfoot knife unseen until I got there and this piece was it..
No offense to the Blackfeet.

There's a difference between my knife , and one I'd part with to a tourist I made for a tourist..
