Hello again all:
Cleaned up a few more of my finds of last year. Here is a pic of the silver jewelery dug up last season. All of it is stamped 925, even the fragments of rings in the pics.
Here is a couple of pics of the amythyst (I think) ring. I really like this one. It seems to be very old. It was down about 4 inches, crushed almost flat and heavily corroded. Found it at an elementary school that just celebrated it's 100th anniversary last summer.
You can tell by the condition of my fingers that I am not doing any digging these days.
Next pic is of the junk jewelery I found. A couple of the rings in the front row look as good as the real thing. They are non-magnetic but not stamped. Couple of copper mood rings in the second row. Neither one works.
Next pics are of a 10k gold class ring I found at a fairgrounds. I have not been able to locate the owner as yet but I will put an add in the paper to see what turns up. It is from the RPN (Registered Practical Nurse) program at the local college and as you can see it is from 1994. Very small ring. I found the little piece of gold chain in the pic near the ring so the ring may have been worn around her neck on that chain.
Since I was hearing a lot of talk about digging up all the pull tabs in order to find gold, I decided to start doing that and see how many I have to dig before my next gold find. So far I have dug up 407 pull tabs or pieces of pull tabs. How many more do I have to dig before I get my reward?
Still a couple of months away from hunting around here but happy hunting to those of you that can get out there.
