Hello all.. :hello:

if you have been following my recent posts you will know which street I refer to, yesterday I managed a two and a half hour hunt after work, there had been some heavy rain in the afternoon so going was a bit tough :-\

Once again I worked the spoil heaps, couldn't do the trenches as the Arch's were all over it and I didn't want to upset anyone :'( had my first Roman Silver :o (Hadrian) I will update the coin later, this again come out of the steep slopes of the spoil :headbang: this very difficult to detect.

Further down the spoil had another hammered Edward? not quite sure which one, it was a bit of a quiet hunt really with not much to show but have a look at the pictures  :read2:

That is a beautiful coin.

I think I am mostly surprised by you detecting the soils piles as the archaeologists are working.

Our country needs to emulate your system very badly.

You have a great spot to detect, and sans fertilizer and ploughing.

This week, you are as fortunate as the son of a Beatle.

Archies never bother with the spoil (funny as thats where all the finds are).

Nice Roman Silver, wondered how long it would be, as it had to happen sooner or later with the finds you had.

Keep up the good work & I will scratch around for the odd scrappy in the huge grass field which we said we would never do again :-\

Plebah...it was actually a bit misleading when I said the archaeologists were all over the trenches, what I should have said was they had left there marking flags all over the trench :P
