Well as civilman1 has stated I did have a nice save today, after having a rather dull butt freezing day. I managed to find one 3 ringer and a beat up "SNY" buckle with all the attachments, just beat up by the plow.

I am also including in this assortment some of the finds I had from the last hunt there.

And as usual I am still trying to get my partners to photo their finds so I can post them here as well.

But any how the first images are from today and the rest will be the buttons and the Georgia T-Base three ringer I found with a nap sack hook.

I had a blast and I am glad Joe found some relics.

And please believe me when I tell you we have found about 150 bullets and 12 buttons three buckles and other assorted relics so do not let me meager assortment full you.

Thanks folks I think there are plans to hunt the site this weekend. Yeah!!!!! more freeze arse off time, cause you know I can not say no.

Looks like a good hunt to me! Congrats on the finds!

great find,,, that is one buckle i always wanted to find.hunt there some more. thanks for posting it.

Well myself and the others feel there is alot more in the planted field, though we can not hunt it right now we can however hunt the edges which is where I found the buckle.

So stay tuned for more frmo those fields which by the way is about 100 acres alone. ;D

Awesome finds. My elderly neighbor told me his father used to find buckles on their property (Cold Harbor). He would throw the "snotty nosed Yankee" buckles away when he found them. Some southerners still hold anger towards those northern aggressors.

It has been great hunting so far this winter with John and friends in some new areas and this area has been great. I have to take some pictures of what I have found and post with John. I have found a clipped corner brass buckle and a brass nap sack buckle a Virginia Staff button and over 60 bullets. We have a great team of hunters and look forward to many more days of hunting.

Thanks everyone

Tony is so right it has been a great last 6 months for us. And the guys are a great bunch, some times the competition gets thick as Tony's nick name is Bullet magnet. We were out yesterday and he found a pocket of eight 2 ringers in a nice tight area. This field just keeps giving and giving, though it decides when it wants to give and what it gives.

Areas where we have hunted pretty good will yield something fantastic.

And we still have about 100 acres still left to hunt.

Yeah there is competition but when the day is over all I hope for is that everyone leaves with somthing to talk about. I consider all of the guys I hunt with as good friends. It sure beats hunting alone.I love the feeling of not noing what you are going to find.

Thanks: Tony
