More life found on a thistle

I spotted this little goldfinch tearing up these thistle flowers today. I guess these fuzzy thistle seeds will have to do for him until all the sunflowers get all their seeds later on this summer. They really love to feed on those, plus they blend in to sunflowers so much better.

They are probably my 3rd favorite bird after cardinals and hummingbirds.

I put thistle seed feeders out just for the finches. After they leave I take the feeders down.
