more net weights

After finding two net weights in this spot in one day I had my eyes peeled for more..bingo. the drilled one I found on my way to the truck.

A couple shell Celts. One is almost whole too..dangit. that and the pendant. I've still to find a single piece of flaked stone on this site. They used the heck out of shell though.

That drilled one is a nice find to add to your ever growing collection of weights.

I dont believe the drilled one is a weight. Maybe a Pendant though. I have never seen a drilled net weight. Have you found any drills there?

Lots. There is a groove for the cord as well. It is hard sandstone the same material as the other net weights..and found just yards away. The drills for that stuff down here is shell..or bamboo with sand and water. I have found Flint drills also but I belive this was done with cane (bamboo)

Have you ever found any cooking stones?

I have not. But also have not seen any archaeological reports of them being used in my area.

Is the hole in the drilled one not perfectly round from rope wear, or is that a shadow that makes it look like that ?
