Thanks Dawg,
Trying to figure out what type of buckle or clasp that one piece is now.The one the other day had the rivet like catch and I was thinking book clasp. But the one today clearly has a pin also they both are the same but what. :icon_scratch:

At first I thought furniture hardware ,a latch , but after taking a closer, second look :icon_scratch: seems like they have a different use . Looks like matching cufflinks along side them .. very nice . I wish I could help with the id Pete

Nice finds Pete.

What do you think the purpose of that flat stone in the second to last pic is?

Thanks Bob,
Clearly some kind of skining tool. The one end is knaped to a sharp edge. And most likely held like this.
Take Care,
Pete, :hello:

You have been finding some quality 17th century relics lately, Pete. :notworthy: That pottery is screaming early-Colonial. :icon_thumleft: When you pop a coin from that site, you know it will be old. :icon_pirat: Thanks for sharing your relics from Coastal North Carolina. :headbang:

Hey prolab69,
We do have quite a few triangular points here. The kind above I wouldn't call common at least were I hunt.It would be more likely for me to find a yadkin in the triangular form. But yes I've found others like the one above. And guess it would be called a Caraway(late prehistoric,1000-200B.P.),Occaneechee (mississippian to historic,600-400B.P.),or maybe uwharrie (late mississippian,1600-1000B.P.) form here.
Take Care,
Pete, :hello:
