I got back to the old buildings in back of my house for a bit,
it's an odd site that has only given up items that are much older than the buildings and abandoned equipment there.
(all the more modern coins & relics already recovered? :dontknow: )

I got a pretty smooth George II or CT Copper, it's 27mm.
A flat button with vine backmark, & fragment of Cast pewter spoon.
all recoveries are iffy signals pulled from the iron patch.
note rusty end of spoon, was next to the large drawknife under a big root,
I knew there was something under there ::)
Gonna dig more somewhere today, happy hunting everyone!
Thanks for looking

It's British, George II (young head 1729-1739) You can see the VS in Georgivs so can't be a CT.

Thanks All!
IP, I thought I could see the S, when I looked closely in hand,
didn't look too much at the photo, where it is plainly visible.
Usually it is the other way around for me, Gotta get some glasses :D
This 'Scythe' has a tang at each end
Well, on to bigger & better finds :hello2:

PS. Don't worry about returning my call from this morning, I just called for a chat.
I'm taking off work tomorrow as I have an eye infection and it's making me feel kinda crappy.
