The last three days i have been hitting the sidewalkl ripout on the green hard. It has already produced many coins and button and the past few days where no different.
on Monday night i got a 1943- merc and a 1956-d rosie.

I went back yesterday and started the hunt with a real beat indian head.
Later on the other side of the walk i get a hit thats going from nickle down to foil. I dig down and see a coin in the hole. as i grab it i can tell it was a nickle. With closer inspection i can see the 5 right in the middle. My first shield nickle ever. I have already gotten a few v's and since then ive been wanting to get a shield

Today i was in the front of the green and pull up this clip thing that looks to be military, however, it doesn look to old. Maybe 40's. Any info would be cool.
Later i get this iron signal, i look down and right on the top of the dirt i see this button. the back looks to obe iron which makes a backmark impossible, however the front has alot of detail. It has two dogs facing eachother (maybe greyhonds). in the center there is a sword and a horn. Any info on this button would be great.
thanks for lookin
Keith

The tie clip disc appears to be a firefighter's emblem/insignia of some sort.

cant wait till someone can tell you what kinda button that is

It's what collectors call a "blazer" button— a button made for use on civilian clothing such as sport coats, jackets, and sweaters. Although it might date back 40-50 years, the same designs sometimes remain in production for many years. In fact, as indicated in the link that I posted, the Waterbury Button Co. still offers this one in a variety of finishes. Many blazer buttons are made of gilt brass, with an iron or steel back. The back of yours has what's called a "self shank," with the shank stamped as an integral part of the back. This is also a feature often seen on 20th century fashion buttons

If Brett Favre's (Favor's :D) skills are as comparable to yours in the field, I smell a Superbowl for them Jets. :icon_sunny:

I would love to get underneath the streets in my hometown area. There are gold coins underneath them for sure.
