This may be a hard question to answer due unknown condition, but I know someone that has a bunch of morgan silver dollars and says he will part with them for 20.00 a piece. I dont think this guy really knows what he is doing, but then again neither do I. He showed me a bunch of 1oz silver commemorative coins he wanted to sell for 20.00 a piece. He had a 1700s something penny that was in a case that said first New York penny I didn't have a clue on it so I didn't get it. I am going back to check out his whole collection on Tuesday. He said has been getting coins from storage units he buys. The inserts that held the coins were not taken care of very well so I am guessing this guy really isn't a collector at all. Hopefully I will be able to go back more informed and make some good purchases. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

$20.00 isn't bad Depending on date & Condition.

What I would look for is Mint Mark on bottom Reverse

CC for Carson City.

Any CC Morgan, Regardless of Condition, Is a Bargain at $20.00

Just a word of caution tho, you can get common date morgans from a coin dealer for about $15 - $18, and that is at the current silver prices. Also, as far as the 1 oz rounds go, you can get them for about $15 from a dealer.

I am going to see what he has tomorrow. He tried telling me that silver was over 20.00 an oz :-\ I am still trying to decide whether or not to bring my coin guide. It could help me or hurt me, I am pretty sure he doesn't own one. We shall see what happens tomorrow :D

Right now silver is hovering in the $13 - $14 range. It has not hit $15 as of yet. If he is saying it is over $20 he is either misinformed or trying to snow you to get more out of his coins/bullion.
