thanks Newt, yes they are surface finds with the help of a lot of rain

I was lucky enough to get over 3 inches of rain in the last 6 weeks
just before that I turned everything over with my duckfoot and lowered it one inch
I did this by removing a 1/4" stroke control spacer from the hydraulic cylinder
this took the tilling depth from 4" to 5" which I think brought up a few things that would have never showed before
this has had corn and alfalfa planted in it in the past
I had to do this because the weeds were getting ugly and would have been a fire hazard soon
