Mosaic in my garden

A 2000-year-old mosaic appeared in my garden. I have the same place at my house. There may be a noble's home or tomb here. But no research has been done. Is there any value in this can anyone who knows write to me?

Yes, of course something like that has a value... both monetary and archaeological value. But it's more likely to be the floor of a villa or small temple than a tomb. Nevertheless, you might expect to find coins and relics in the vicinity as well as possible architectural ruins.

But how on earth do you expect anyone here to help you with that? You haven't even said what country you are in. Whether or not you can expect to personally benefit financially from the mosaics or anything else associated with the site will crucially depend on the antiquities laws in your country. Even if you are able to claim ownership of what you have found, it would need specialists to lift the mosaic-work intact in order to sell it.

Have you contacted your country's museum authorities (although, depending on where you are, I realise that there may be reasons why you don't want to do this)?

Very odd that all your image JPG No.s are the same, like you saved over the same number 3 times, hence the (1) & (2). Why would you do that for 3 different images?

More odd is that he implies it's one mosaic when he shows three different ones, all appearing to be professionally excavated, which is why I've refrained from commenting in this thread.

Nope, 2 were saved over the top of an existing image file number, making it (1) & (2) at the end of the file.

Wow. We’re a suspicious lot! I tend to play these posts with straight bat and give the benefit of doubt unless obvious red flags are apparent.

In the absence of any further comment from the OP, might I just point out that the small “tick in shield” icon at the bottom of the opening post has the text “Topluluk Tarafindan Doğrulandı simgesi” affixed to it, which is Turkish for “Community Verified icon”.

So we can assume the mosaic is in Turkey. I’ve visited a number of times to explore its ancient history and have friends who run a guest house in a small town there. I can tell you that undocumented archaeology (most usually from the Roman period) turns up in rural areas all the time… some of it quite extensive. Landowners generally have a great reluctance to involve museum authorities or tell them about what they uncover, for a variety of reasons.

I expect that the OP isn’t going to tell us much more to allay suspicions.

Not being rude but many of us have been on here long enough to see enough red flags in this & I always give the benefit of the doubt, but I also like to give hints to those that might engage with PMing or off forum conversations that 'might' lead to financial loss. (Part of protecting our community) If you give too much credit you may encourage others to engage further, & by accident help the individual with their goal.
Like I say, seen too many of these types of phishing posts before. Just enough to be under the radar, but not mine. Although doing this on your first post is the biggest red flag, so that makes me laugh how many times that happens.
Let's hope I look an idiot & the OP comes back with new photographs & new information because having something like this is not just a great story, but could well be possible in some areas. However, would your first thought be, how can I sell this?

Well said and the # of times this same type post has happened on the forum seems endless.
We all hope the OP will come around and post again-but many don't.
Even if some of OPs comeback, it usually stated the service connection is spotty/off at site digging it up/or some other piece of nothing.
Not putting a lot faith in this one either.

We could have teased this along a bit more to waste their time, but hardly seems worth it. I know I'm skating on thin ice because my actions are more for the MOD's to enforce, but hopefully people will see my warning before it's deleted, don't want anyone lead down 'the garden path', pun intended.
