Skeptics have no imagination...
Critics have motives...
And the rest just have trouble believing in anything they cannot see.
MOST legends begin with some form of truth... they may become warped or more elaborate with time...
The trick is...
To read between the lines.

OR! Read it as a "COVER STORY"; FACTION... Fiction based on FACTS!

True

Well, in Virginia... I think the BEALE PAPERS "story" is a "COVER" for deposition of parts of CSA Treasury. In fact, so did Peter Viemeister, in his LAST book on BEALE TREASURE. Confederate Treasure Coverup

Howdy ARRC,

Legends do begin with truth, and the ones that get uncovered, are right where they said they were. Some just lack those directions, and remain as tales. However most that do have maps, or directions can be located with good research. It's not like swinging a metal detector, no real research is needed there, just luck. It is the metal detector that does the real finding of coins, jewelery, nuggets, and artifacts. Take that away, and you just have the average Joe that can't find anything. On a treasure legend with a map, or directions, you usually don't need a metal detector, unless it is under water.

Homar, I have been meaning to esk you, "do you now of a good purty girl finding detector"

Did YOU write the Illiad? my facvorite kiddie book.

Nay my good friend, the Ilaid was not my inspiration.

Why would you need a purty girl detector Amigo, when they are all purty?
