RM's were AWESOME bikes Zlathim!

I had the 370cc way back when.

All told, the 125 was the best, even better than the 250, if you were in it's weight class.
Super agile, quick and responsive.

Even back then I needed the bigger displacement for the long hillclimbs.

I'll bet you can run right along with most of the newer machines with that RM.

Me and my off-road two wheel buddy were 20 some miles back in the mountains headed for our favorite hot springs when we caught up with a small group of riders from the big city... They were all off their bikes and laying down in shade under the bushes along the trail... we thought their might be some sort of problem, and stopped. Turns out they were just worn out, tired. One guy said he was a semi-pro motocross racer and he wouldn't be riding these trails anymore because they were too rough... on him and his bike!
Shoot! That was all we knew!

Wish I had my old RM 370 back... The Husky 430 I got now has more power, but the suspension and frame geometry just aren't as nice as that old RM was.

The Husqvarna doesn't really come to life until really high speeds... TOO fast for me, anymore.
I gotta get my kid to build my yammie TT popper for me.

That was my first bike. I got rid of it a long time ago(20 years ago!), but it was awesome! I rode the heck out of that thing over the course of a few summers. After that I got a Yamaha YZ400, and then a Honda XR 500. I know I rode more and had more fun on that old RM 125!

dont forget the polish scrambler they used the motors in thier little cars i had a polish scrambler when i was sixteen that damed thing would climb a brick wall straight up if you had a ramp a big enough wall and a diesel full of guts and balls but all i ever did was go hill climbing when the kids with the rms and yzs were just jumpn hills and bumps no pics just memories

Yup!

Those RM 125's were quick and agile... like a mosquito!

YZ400 good bike, got a WIDE powerband and ok suspension, but is big bike for tite trails.

Those big Hondas just got busted up all over the place, where I used to ride.

The newest 4 strokes are really good, and lite, but there's nothing like a hot 2 stroke coming on the pipe!

And at 50 -60 mpg depending on how the bike is set up... it's awesome! Nice bikes and pictures.

I'm working on a roadbike now, myself. The plan is to expand it's capability...

Not quite the same class as 4 wheelers, and not good to compare them, IMO.

They serve different functions.

Frequently I fill most of my pickup bed with tools for the first day, then make adjustments in the load of tools on successive days. Not to mention shopping and picking up materials...

My mother wanted me to be a doctor, and I didn't listen.
No one to blame but myself!

My 'permanent pillion' and I rode another ride last Sunday. (As well as clocking up another 240 kms today )
An inaugural, Ride against Violence. 79 bikes and 1 spitfire turned out. We all voted to make it happen next year, but bigger.

I really prefer two wheels, though.

Was at the market tod and saw a bombardier? 3 wheeler. Had a 1 litre Rotax in it, I think. 4 cycle.
Really interesting machine, I'll look for a picture of one.

I just made a repair on a Polaris Sportsman 500 HO 4x4 and made a few shekels which I promptly spent buying a part for the old yamaha seca I'm working on.
The used bike parts shop had a Suzuki SV650 for sale. I kinda like the lines of the bike, and the 90* V twin.
Seems everything is SO expensive, anymore... asking $3k for a 7yr old bike!

I remember way back when, motorcycles were cheap. Not nearly as good as they might be now, but a lot less expensive. The shop I went to had a honda ct90 trailbike asking $1k for it...

What city are you in, Mike? So I can run a weather check, for point of reference....

Here in this part of California the WX is crazy right now.
It may be over 100* one day, two days later, high 60's. Right now, it's 50 and foggy!

Yes, the 3 wheel things sure are racy looking, but I can think of no better than two.
I've had 2 or 3 hundred of them.
After all, it's California!
Bought and sold them for profit for many years, and worked at 4 different bike shops.
Made the most money off ones that never ran! Go figure!

I prefer V twins over a litre displacement, but most have been far under...

It's very difficult to do better than a Honda.
(Hurt to say that, but it's true.

You'll be coming into your summer, soon.
Should be plenty of nice rides ahead, for your group.

Yes it's still early spring here, coming out of one of the wettest winters I can recall. Roll on Summer.

I have to agree about Honda. One of my best bikes (I've owned maybe 12 ) was the old CB750/4.
In fact I would seriously consider the new CB1300 as my next bike, but I'm actually contemplating one of these
