I heard (through reliable authorities) that it was used and destroyed in "Mad Max". :icon_jokercolor:

Sorry, I hadn't looked at this thread for a while. So.....
I don't know where the machine is now, I just pray that no one was ever killed by her :icon_study:

and, Mad Max Hmmm. I doubt if the bike was shipped 2,000 miles across the Tasman Sea for a Movie. But not a bad idea, when ya think about it :headbang:

I have tried to ID the bike. Maybe a BSA, maybe an AJS. Can anyone help me with the ID?
I have to guess that the photo was taken 'tween the Wars of I and II.

im still looking for a gt 750 water buffalo to modify, the one i had in the 80's was a screamer, ported, shaved head with the tripple expansion chambered pipes, sweet

Hey Mike,

I was thinking it might be a Velocette or a Matchless...

Can't seem to find an old photo of the primary side... seems like most show the gearcase side of the engine.

Here's a Velocette

and a Royal Enfield

I'll keep looking...

I've always had a preference for our V twins, but have had a flock of the Limey bikes over the years.
They always handled a lot nicer and most were prettier than our hogs.

Best

Those trikes ARE lots of fun, Mac.

I once knew some fellas out in the desert had a bunch of 'em with hotrod Porsche motors.
Very fast!

My kid has one of those 600rr honda bikes. Won everything in it's class for a number of years, I guess.
Just like you said. he's wishing he had got something bigger, and more of a touring style, because it's uncomfortable after more than a few hours riding.

They're all fun.
A great way to enjoy the country!

I appreciate your efforts. Matchless is one I have also considered in my research.
The old Enfield is a pretty amazing machine considering you can still buy them new today.
Thanks, Mike

I hope everyone finds a lot of gold this year...looks like we'll need it. I got laid off after 13 years with HP...luckily the bike is paid off :)

Here's the Redneck Special

Wonder if he actually got an inspection sticker...awesome.

I was advised to load my scoot pic here too. It's a 98 lowrider ... I'm the 56 bowlegger. This is the "trip" configuration: Bolt-on windshield, padded stock seat and sissybar. For local rides I lose the windshield and sissybar, put on a slammer seat, and lose the helmet (not required in Illinois) ;D The shot was taken in downtown Chattanooga, TN for the 2005 Trail of Tears ride to Waterloo, AL. Besides the chrome add-ons, the HP was bumped with an overbore, highreach cam, Mikuni 42 carb and hypercharger ... she can move!
