I think the brass item I found is mourning jewelry. Please chime in. I can’t ID the silver plated item.

Interesting finds. I can’t confirm the mourning jewelry, but the plated item looks like a football. From the picture I can’t make out the size, but if it is about an inch long it might be a football that was attached to a varsity letter to designate the sport the letter was earned for or something similar sports related.
