Multi Purpose Uses For A Pinpointer

I learned a while ago that a hand held pointer works for finding studs in the walls of homes. Are there other purposes for pinpointers beside dirt fishing?

I use mine once a month over my body to make sure the aliens haven't microchipped me again.

I use mine when my clumsy ass drops nuts or bolts when working outdoors. Works well but not as much fun as using it as intended though...

I used mine once to see if the PVC trap in my bathroom sink had lost metal. I missed a metal item I was cleaning, and I did read it in the trap with my pinpointer. It got me to thinking that many or most motels and hotels use the same PCV traps, and for fun the pointer would be interesting to try during trips. I never got to travel enough to test the theory.
