My 1st Bag of Halve Dollars

I was finally able to get a bag of halves today. They are very hard to fine around here. Most banks won't sell them. This was a fluke being able to get one. The bad news was the bank told me that the bag had $543. in half dollar coins. When I got the bag home & went thru the coins it only held $500. The bag was $43 short. I will stop at the bank next week & let them know. I know nothing will be able to be done & I will have to eat the loss.

The good news was what I found in the bag. It contained 5 90s: 4/64 & 1 63D Ben. It also had 23 40s: 2/65 2/66 8/67 6/68 & 5/69.

It was a interesting experience to be sure.

You could count them there? Unless you were in a hurry. Long ago I got a bag of IKES and counted them there since I had be shorted before.
