My 1st Ever SILVER Woo Hoo!!

[River Rat]

I went all the way to the CTH in Kansas to find it. I still can't believe the excitement of finding my 1st silver. I did some whooping and hollering , I was told they could hear me all the way down to Tulsa. Stoney snapped pics of my happy dance & the SLQ (1920-S). Kirk, do I earn a spot in your top 25?

I gotta hand it to ya, thats one of the best SLQ I have ever seen, date and all, looks like it was dropped the day it was minted. I remember that you put it in a plastic bag. Great coin there.........I think there were three found that day if I remember right? Anyway, great find.

[stoney56]

So that sound we heard up in Shawnee KS was you ? LOL !

Ya should have heard her from where I was at. LOL My ears are still ringing. I'm just sorry I didn't switch to video, RR has definitely got some moves.

[wildrider]

I aint never seen a big silver whoo hoo. Guess I better go out and find my first too.

Seriously...congrats.

I don't remember my first silver, but I think it was a rosey dime I found at the drive-in movies along with 40 years of bottle caps and pulltabs.

[poppa19]

great silver , even better happy dance,

[BioProfessor]

It looks as though you might have been happy with the find.

I can see in the picture background that you are hunting a field with grass cover. I have the opportunity to hunt some really good ground that is in pasture. I've never hunted ground with much cover. Can you tell me about how it affects the depth you get? How tall can the grass be before it is too tall? Is it really tough to hunt? Anything that will help me decide whether or not to travel 4000 miles to hunt pasture would help.

Thanks,

Daryl

[funkman]
