Got a new permission... Was walking towards a stump to a tree that must have been quite old.... On the way dug up a modern dime and bullet casing... This was the 3rd signal... A copper penny signal at 2" inches with my white's coinmaster.... While I was scraping the bottom of the plug with my fingers I thought "probably a early memorial.... Then out popped this beauty... The thing that makes it rare is the large "o" mint mark.... Unknown as to how many were minted like this

I forgot to mention this was about 4" from the big stump only about 1" down... Unbelievable!

Nice early Seated Liberty dime - looking at mintage (1,291,600) doesn't look terribly rare , still a great find .

Congratulations on the seated dime recovery, it's in great shape!

I explained the rarity a little in post... The original mint mark on the 1839 was a small "o" ... But also a rarer version of the mint mark was made using the 1838 die which was larger... And that mint quantity is unknown

Nice find and in great shape.

That one is in great shape,

Great find! 😁 Seated has eluded me from Day One. I'd settle for one half as nice as this.

That is really a banner coin with a little more back story about the find. Congrats!

Nice find there! Seated dimes are always awesome. Although the money doesn't matter, you're looking at a nice $60 dollar coin. Congrats!

It's actually gonna come out more valuable than that....
ook at the 1st page of posts... It explains why it's rare and potential values for each grade
