Detector(s) used
F75 LTD, 1280X Aquanaut, & a Patriot (back-up/loaner)
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
I started dirt fishing in Late May this year. My year end totaled $510,05 in coins (face value). The first pick shows most of the clad. the other pics are for my keepers. I did spend a little of my clad earlier in the season ($41.01). The Clad pic shows $465.83 coins. The others total $2.68. I mainly fished parks and other public properties. I have a 10 coin folders that only coins found via metal detecting go in. This provides the extra incentive to look over every coin and it is a win every time I can fill a spot or replace a coin. My two Lincoln cent folders did not photo well there's only $0.63 in those though.

I agree with everyone else! That is a great haul in any year! Most of the Mercs appear to be in really nice condition. Congrats!

Nice finds! Thanks for sharing...

Fire the tumbler up and get to a coinstar with a haul like that. Thanks for sharing and congrats on the success.

You did well for your first season...

I love the smokin' abe cent. I'm still chuckling over that. Congrats.

You had a very good year. Your parks must get a lot of traffic with very little detecting.

I'd say you had an excellent year

I did find a couple of virgin spots that were developed back in the 60s-70s, out of the way parks. They are fun, when you can pull $20-$30 in 6 hours. I did not limit myself to just local sites. I have detected many locations within a 50 mile radius of my house.

GO BUCKEYES!!!!

I'm glad you noticed the abe. I look at every coin for dates and this one provided quite the surprise when I looked at it under my magnifying glass. It's a keeper just because....

I don't bother to tumble for coinstar, just a rinse in the sink and in they go.I get Amazon gift cards for full value.

guessing you are retired

Awesome job. looks like you paid or just about paid for your machine with the price of silver and your clad count. Most of us will never get rich doing this but the thrill of the hunt is great. Hope you find even more this year.

That is an awesome year! I still am on the hunt for a merc
