GN,
The funny thing is, I was having my wife take the picture and wanted to be sure she got the three of us in the photo, so I almost got down on my knee holding the ring next to the guy. That would have come out a bit on the fruity side I think. :love3:

Joe,
It's not a CW ring, but I'm glad you still approve.

Jgas,
Funny you should ask. I'll be heading up to LaPorte at the end of October. I better get started on lining up a property to detect.

YOU GUYS & GALS ARE THE BEST!!!
THANK YOU.

Dug, Dug, Dug...you are the MAN!!! :headbang:

You are what this hobby needs. :notworthy:

There are too many "bad" stories showing up on the net! I hope this leads to more permissions. :notworthy:

WTG Doug

I'll bet the ring wasn't that deep either, was it?

I got to return 4 rings to their owners this year, and one was a gold wedding band, so I share your elation

Nice job

Re: My 4th Gold Wedding Band Returned & I was blessed too!

Another great find Doug. I try to read all your posts because so many of them end with you doing a good deed for someone. That is just awesome. I wish more of us could do as much. I dream of something special I can return to someone. Keep up the good work, you're making the rest of us look good.

Randy

PS-Don't worry about the class ring you've never found. I think when you do, it's going to be a very special one. :icon_sunny:

I just wish more of these stories showed up in the newspapers so that more people would know that we are not all greedy type people who just want the good stuff.

I think that was awesome of you Doug to take time out of your day to look for that for them. It shows what a special person you are!

Nat,
You are right. It was less than 3" deep. It was close to the back deck steps, so it's fortunate that no paving was placed there over the years.

Thanks Nat,
Doug

Thanks Randy. I get my generousity from my Dad & Mom. They always seemed to be helping others out as I was growing up.
I think I give away more finds now than I keep for myself. :dontknow:

Have a great weekend,
Doug

I agree, we need all the GOOD press we can get. Maybe that recent hoard found in the UK may help.
