MY 52'nd 1/2 COPPER ON THE YEAR & A LIL SILVER

No work due to rain.was drizzling and decided to go to a spot I knew of. by the time I got there rain began coming more steady but light. dug a big ornate doo hickey and a piece of china was in hole with it.I was way down in back of the site where the well was and got a few good targets right around that area.a baby feeding spoon? a thick small brass wedding band stamped 18K inside,a crusty wiped out CT? copper.vdi was 82-84 front is totally wiped out but just enough hangin on reverse to say "hey i'm colonial" a nickel sized blank coin,a length of brass chain,1964-D rosie, a wheatie & memorial.then rain started gettin heavier and packed it up.2 hour hunt cut short.

Nice Finds! 52 & counting :wink:

That's the second spoon I've seen bent like that :icon_scratch:

the dognose is old style
I found a very short handle spoon with fullsize bowl :dontknow:

Old Fake 18K ::)

Halfcents are about nickel size, (mass ones a little bigger)
I've found 2 blanks at 22 mm, dirty shame :laughing9:

A fine start cut short, I hate when that happens >:(

60 very possible. I'm at 52, never set a goal, but 60 very possible for me too. There will be some good end of year posts.

The big decorative item is curious

That many copper coins is incredible HMN!!! The only way I could find that much copper in Tennessee is to dig up an old HVAC coil-LOL. Very nice hunt and you were rewarded for braving the weather. HH, Quindy.
