My 8th and 9th LC's and some other goodies

I had a little time this morning to get out and do some digging! Went to almost my last option because every thing is getting planted so fast. Got about ten feet from the truck and went to turn on my little friend, and there it was ....a nice little point :hello2: Thinking its gonna be one of those days. About another 20 feet or so I get a great hit. Out pops a sweet button that still has some golden gilt left on it, when checking my hole there's some thing is still in there, out pops its twin!! Not long after, its a slamming hit and there it was, 1802 large cent  Pulled three more buttons and here comes that sound.. another largie? 1809 :occasion14: Picked up a nice large point with the tip missing, a flint drill and some cool pottery. I could use a little help with cleaning the coins .Tried the olive oil on a smoked LC and didn't like the way it turned out, any suggestions would be helpful.=ED

seems like a good spot!, you appearantly found the debris field. hit that thing low n slow and dig the low signals, they often are buttons:thumbsup:

Nice spot you're on. Anytime you can eyeball points and dig early coins and relics, you're on a sweet spot.

Wouldn't know where to begin with electrolysis. What is the out come with large cents?

I've only zapped small cents Google how to build one. Using an ac power supply. Use baking soda as an electrolyte.

Thanks Thorne Ill look into it! Cleaning coins has always been a touchy subject with some -use this don't use that 'backing soda , vinager ,lemon juice ,soap, water. right now their just dry brushed with a old tooth brush. =ED

A couple of oldies there, congrats! From my experience, ANY further cleaning of those two coppers will not help and will only hurt.

Great hunt VERMONTIS!! Coins, relics and artifacts, you found them all. Congrats. :notworthy:
