Shocked and surprised to grab this today. Still trying to find more info on it and if it?s legit, but it?s not magnetic.

Looks like a roasted zinc play coin…. But I’m no expert!!

It's a Spanish cob. That's a cool find. Real or not...

Try posting it here for better ID results.

Spanish Cobs

BTW - Post measurements and weight if you can get it. Or at least a picture of the coin with a modern coin next to it.

And please don't take pics of items in your hand or fingers. The camera will focus better and catch more detail if you lay it flat on a medium dark, non-reflective surface.

Definitely a cool find!!

I hope it's genuine, but, I have my doubts.

Can you post pictures with sand removed, looks like repo from pictures posted, looks like it has a raised edge around it. Silver will not look like that, looks like pot metal which most pot metal is not magnetic. Pot metal also melts at lower temperatures and will usually produce a white smoke when heated.

This is whats called a fantasy cobb....it is a reproduction. The symbols and marks have no real meaning.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Yes... it is a fake / reproduction.

These were some of the most produced ones.

I refrained from commenting till now... but i am now... so we can put it to rest.

Like AARC said, it is a repro.
