MY BEST BUCKLE SO FAR & MORE CW BULLETS

I'll start off with Friday after work. I went back into the woods where I've been digging the CW relics. Some of you may recall the 14 CW 3-ringers I dug out of the same small area last week. Well, guess what? I missed THREE MORE!!! That now makes 17 out of the same spot!!! :o :o :o
Attached is a picture of my growing collection of CW lead: 3 ringers, Enfields, carved bullets, round shot, etc.

Today I drove about 30-40 miles into the country to follow up on a lead on a new spot. It's a 1860's house/farm, with slave shacks, other old houses, barns, and a grave of a CW soldier (age 40). I will hopefully be getting the o.k. on that spot soon.

On my way back I went past a place I had hunted last year. It's an 1800's house (pictured). It was already 4:30pm, but I stopped to MD a bit. The owner said "no problem", so I got my fix. This place is TOUGH to detected because there is an electric fence for the horses all around the place. It gives off false signals (pulsating) about anywhere you go. :( I didn't get much, a few wheats, and the BEST BUCKLE I"VE EVER FOUND!!!! At least I think it's a beauty. It's heavy like brass, and I believe Victorian. :icon_scratch: The great thing is, it still has the light blue (robin egg color) stone in it.
Can anyone verify the era?

Thanks for looking Folks,
MM

Doug,

Awesome buckle you found there, my NC friend! You have been tearing up the CW relics lately. This spot just gives you even more insight on what else is in your county.

Go get 'em again, man, and keep your coil low!

I would say perhaps post-Victorian...maybe 1900-1920ish. It is Way Cool. Never seen anything like that one.

Joe,
Now that's a great offer. I think silver coins actually run from me. :icon_scratch:  I'm hoping for at least one 1800's silver before the year ends. It woul be my first.

Doug Dude, that buckle is pretty cool looking, buddy. I, too, found an 18th century buckle today, but no coppas or Spanish wilvers. :icon_scratch:

Buddy, you have been doing very well lately on those CW finds. Keep it up!

I might post my buckle tomorrow...that is if I find a coppa or Spanish wilver. OOOF :D I still might post it on the "What is it?" forum later tomorrow, though.

Re: MY BEST BUCKLE SO FAR & MORE CW BULLETS

Wow Doug. :o That collection of lead is getting bigger by the day. You're going to need a few more cases soon. There's gotta be a few CW buttons or buckles at that site too. That buckle you found is interesting too. Very ornate design. Any idea what the stone is?
