My Eagle didn't let me down-CTH finds last Saturday

Looks like I'm back to finding Barbers again now that I've hung up my Spectrum and saddled up my Eagle

Here are my finds from last weekend's CTH in Caldwell KS. The lighter was found by my Mrs.

Great finds. And to think, I was only about 30 ft or so from you when I hear, "hey a Barber dime right on top of the ground.... Oh man, an Indian right on top of the ground, dang another Indian...... All on top of the ground......" Ha, ha!! I'm always in the right spot but not the right patch of grass.... My misfortune your luck!! It was great meeting you and your A$$. Tell her I said hello. Can't wait to see you and the next hunt.

Thank you. I have only found a few. One of these was laying on top of the ground as Ridge Runner said, along with the BD. The other IH and the three wheaties, I had to dig them up. Nothing was very deep...maybe 3" tops.

Keep looking, you will find one.

Hi Ty,

Thanks. We haven't looked up the lighter yet. It is butane, so it is not real old. it could be one of the first butane lighters though. I have never seen one like it.

Hey Ridge Runner,

You probably would have found that Barber Dime and IH, if I hadn't. I thought someone had dropped something out of their pouch. I couldn't hardly believe that those two coins were on top the ground. Kinda like the spur you found huh. Well, it was fun. We had a good time. The Mrs says hello

Hi Plehbah,

I like your avitar. I'll still use my Spectrum as a backup. They both use the same battery pack, so that is a plus. I have just had better finds with my Eagle, than I have with my Spectrum. I don't know why, the Spectrum is supposed to be a better detector

It was mostly luck. Anyone cound have found those two on the ground, but I am glad it was me. I have been in a slump lately. Maybe things are looking up

Didn't I see where you found some old bullets and shell casings? CW relics are just as cool as coins to me. Hope to see you again, but I got to tell ya....hunting 5 or 6 hours straight, really tires this old man out, lol.
