So I haven't found anything picture worthy in a while, but that changed today. I went to the bank to take care of some stuff unrelated to CRH. I decided to pick up $40 in nickels, and I wasn't expecting too much out of it since this bank has never produced many keepers. They gave me $40 MRW and I walked out, started to check the coins and I found a 1910 V nickel in my 4th roll! I aslo found a War Nickel (44p), and about 10 other keepers! Needless to say I am happy with what I found. My oldest, and new favorite, coin so far. It's pretty worn, but I don't mind, I'm never going to sell this anyway. HH guys

Dang! I can't find one in the ground none the less handed to me by a bank teller.

Keep at it I'm sure you will find one soon. I still can't even believe I found this, I have a few older coins, but I paid for those at coin shops. This is the first time I've found a coin over 100 years old in the wild.

My oldest i've found are a 1890 and 1907 IHC 1909 Plain Wheat 1910 wheat 1910S wheat, 1914 D Wheat, and 1912 V Nickel in bank rolls I was surprised finding a 1910 S And 1914 D in rolls

Beats my oldest of a 1918 wheat!

I have found half a herd of buffalo, but never a V or Shield. Congratulations! That is something to be proud of. I'm glad your hard searching has paid off for you. I gave up nickels when I completed my Jefferson 38-64 set to focus on dimes harder. Once dimes for silver dry up I'll do low volume nickels and cents, if they are still around in circulation...
