Detector(s) used
Minelab Equinox 900 / Garrett PropointerAT.
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
It's funny how things go, I spent all day yesterday hunting various OLD homesteads and went home with 80¢ clad, and an axe head. Today I took the kids to the park and within 15 minutes (cuz I'm still digging tab tones) I landed my first 14k and first diamond ring in one. The other people at the park were watching me in disbelief. So I did the only thing I could think of and said "If you have ever watched Seinfeld you know to always quit on a high note", I shut off my detector and went home. Another good find for my Minelab.

That is awesome!

I'm still looking for one of those.

Nothing like that first gold with a rock on it!!! Congrats, there are more out there to find!!

Great story thanks for sharing! Congratualtions on the beautiful ring find! :icon_thumleft:

GZ on your first gold with ice! How exciting is that?!
Thanks for sharing!

Awesome! I'll bet there was a Seinfeld episode somewhere along the line that dealt with diamonds and gold.....don't know, just guessing.

Congratz!

It's really awesome, what's really funny is I always joke about how my best finds are all found close to home. I found my first gold ring (men's 10k) right across the street in a flower bed, both within walking distance of my house. It weighs 2.4g and I believe has a 1/10 ct diamond. Beyond that I have no idea what it's worth. As far as scrap value is concerned it's my best find to date. (Ring #18)

Not D&G but it was one of his life lessons about going out on a high note.

I can't help but smile seeing your first diamond ring man. Well earned and deserved, props!
