My first find is .62 in various new coins, 21 bottle caps, 26 pull-tabs, 16 pieces of assorted junk.
The green piece of wire was on the top of the soil and I got nothing from the detector. It's fine copper wire, I'm saving it for future testing.
It was a wonderful couple of hours out in the fresh air and totally distracting from other things in my life.
What a wonderful hobby, I'm going to try it again as soon as my legs, knees and other pains allow. I cannot believe how outta shape I am - Driving a keyboard and office chair turns a person into mush.
The park that I found the stuff is only 8 or 10 years old, so I know there is no age on most of the objects I'm going to find.
But it's less than 2 miles away and people go there. So I have a place to start swinging the detector. And I figured if I pick up the piece of junk today, then I know most junk is gone now... maybe... I am using a White Coinmaster 6000/D 2 ( and I have no idea if I am getting any depth) I know, I know, it's time to make a garden and read more about this hobby.
Good luck and happy hunting.
